During the months of July and August, Whitney Sooter (OPAA Foods) set out to get donations to encourge all of our families to complete and submit a Free/Reduced Lunch Application. The lunch applications assist the district in multiple ways: getting students who qualify free meals; getting students who qualify reduced price meals; improves district eligibility for federal technology funding; provides additional funds for in-school and after-school tutoring programs; provides qualifying high school students with a discount on ACT fees; and provides additional opportunities for scholarships, tuition assistance for dual credit courses and discount fees on applying for college for qualifying students.
Congratulations to our winners! Thank you to everyone who submitted their lunch application.
Thank you to all of our community partners for donating to this project.
