Meet the Counselor

We have an amazing High School Counselor - Mr. Feeler. Mr. Feeler received his Counseling degree from Lincoln University. He has served in the role as High School Counselor since August 2002.

"My favorite part of counseling is graduation. Celebrating the four-year path to completion. Some paths are straightforward for some students and some come with many detours but no matter what it was accomplished. Also, watching each senior walk across the stage to receive their diploma and begin their career journey," said Feeler.

Mr. Feeler works with students all year on scholarship opportunities. Since it's inception, Mr. Feeler has had an active role with the Maries Co. R-II Scholarship Foundation - which provides over $75,000 worth of scholarships to Belle graduates along with other local scholarships each year. "Our community steps up more and more every year to provide scholarships to our graduating seniors," states Mr. Feeler.

He works with local food banks to provide snacks for students.

Mr. Feeler is the Maries Co. R 2 Assessment Coordinator. He coordinates all of the Missouri state assessments for students in grades 3-12th. He administers and coordinates the End of Course Exams for High School. He coordinates the ASVAB and Workkey assessments.

He provides individual and small group counseling sessions as needed by students. He works closely with the building principal on attendance and credit attainment for students.

"The part of counseling I feel has the greatest impact is college and career planning. Helping students discover potential colleges, career paths, and job opportunities beyond high school," said Feeler. He provides guidance on college applications, transcripts, financial aid, and scholarships to our current students but also to alumni.

If you have questions about the counseling program and services that are offered at Belle High School, please reach out to Mr. Feeler at cfeeler@mariesr2.org. We are so thankful to have Mr. Feeler as our Belle High School Counselor.
