Today we kicked off Agriculture Education on the Move. This classroom-based program teaches elementary school children about where their food comes from, how farmers support their community, and much more. For the next 10 weeks we will visit the 3rd grade classrooms on Thursday afternoons and provide a lesson and hands on activity. Our FFA members went to a training in August to learn the curriculum and will do all the teaching. Today we learned about soybeans. If you are a parent of a 3rd grader ask them about what we get from soybeans!

Our student teachers for the program are pictured left to right; Rachel Cox, Daxton Newton , Aubrey Reed, Hallie Rider, Reagan Thomas and Landry Heitman. (Not pictured: Cash Lacy and Saige Garner).

Big thanks to Missouri Farmers Care for providing this program and funding it for Missouri classrooms!
