The Maries County R-II School District has an opening for a paraprofessional position for the 2023-2024 school year. Candidates must meet ONE of the following DESE requirements to be qualified as a paraprofessional: Completed Missouri’s 20-hour online substitute training program, Missouri ParaPro Assessment passing score (before September 23, 2013), Missouri Paraprofessional Assessment passing score (after September 23, 2013), 60 college credit hours, or Associate’s degree or higher. Applicants must also obtain a Missouri Substitute Certificate. The starting pay for this full time position is 13.00 an hour. Special Education K-12 Teacher opening for the 2024-2025 school year:
The Maries County R-II School District is seeking applicants for the position of Special Education Teacher. Applicants must have Special Education Cross/Categorical K-12 certification. Qualifications: Candidates will participate in the IEP process by attending IEP meetings, collaborating with IEP team members, communicating with students and parents, preparing IEP/RED paperwork, and delivering instruction to enable students to make progress toward IEP goals and Missouri grade level standards. Candidates will maintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative procedures and will manage their own caseload of students. Retake Picture Day is 11/29/2023! If you're satisfied with your child's picture, no further action is required.
If you purchased and were unhappy with your Picture Package, please send your Picture Package to school with your student on Retake Day. Your Retake Picture Package will be produced and shipped to the school four weeks after Retake Day. Please note, if your child is photographed on the original and Retake Picture Days, the Retake picture will replace the original picture in certain products, like the yearbook.

Bus 1 Parents/Students:
Beginning Tuesday, November 28
Due to the closure of the Dry Fork Bridge on Hwy 28, Bus 1 will be 10 minutes early on the south side of the bridge toward Rolla in the morning. Bus 8 Parents and Students: Beginning on Tuesday, November 28
Due to the bridge closure on Hwy 28, the evening route for Bus 8 will be revised. Students in the Highgate area will arrive home earlier.
