
National Library Week was filled with fun activities and a bookmark contest. Students in each class worked hard designing their own bookmarks.











Congratulations to Carter Kinkead on increasing two of his current BHS records. He improved his bench press to 320 lbs and his Clean & Press to 250 lbs. Big numbers Pudge! The weight room is gonna miss you!



Senior Trip hanging baskets will be available for pickup at Belle High School on Monday, April 22nd, 6:00-7:30 pm. Please contact smouser@mariesr2.org with any questions. This is a pre-ordered fundraiser; we will have a very limited number available for sale after all orders are picked up.

Bus 11 will be back on the regular route times due to the opening of the Hwy 28 bridge. Students will be picked up 15 minutes later than last week due to the opening of the bridge.

Miss Helling's class had a blast with the dodgeball tournament!! They also raised the most money out of the elementary school ($508) for the AHA and earned a pizza party!! Thank you all for your continued support!! ❤️🖤



Today, students in Mrs. Mulhall's class were able to see the 3 Braches of Government in action! They made "Bills", held press conferences, deliberated, and tried to get their Bills passed!

Honor, from Ms. Graf’s class,
started a trash pickup club. She visited Mrs. Hance and Mrs. Mulhall's classroom’s to share her idea. Today, they picked up the trash around the playground and track during their recess. 4th graders are rock stars!






Another great performance from all the golf boys today in Cuba! Yes it was freezing but that didn’t stop any of these boys from playing some great golf! Belle took 4th place today out of 6 teams.
We had some more great scores today and some first timers that did amazing. Myles 52, Avery 52, Callen 51, Colton 58, Deegan new career best 62, Kaegan new career high 49, Cooper Guinn first golf match ever with a 56, Tucker 56, and Brayden Barzee first ever golf match 67.
Great job Boys! Keep working hard! Very proud of you all!


Our baseball boys took Laquey 10-7 in their first game of the Stoutland Tournament! They will play Wednesday at 7:00. (Let’s hope it warms up a little by then…🥶)

Herman was the A Team Bland Bear Tournament champion, our Lady Bears finished 2nd, and the Eugene Eagles finished 3rd. It was a great day filled with volleyball. We are very proud of our Bland Bears!


In celebration of School Board Recognition Month, we honor Kenda Sanders today. Serving on the Maries Co. R 2 Board of Education for six years, Kenda's commitment has made a lasting impact on Maries R 2 students and staff. Thank you, Kenda, for your dedicated service!


Child development has been learning about motor skills and how to improve kids motor skills through play. They have made homemade play doh and have presented motor skill activities!

Chemistry students took a walk to Heavenly Homemade today to learn about the saponification method used to make soaps. A big thank you to Heavenly Homemade for their community partnership!

Ava James, in Mrs. Gieck's 3rd grade class, chose Class Author as a reward for her awesome score on her Mastery Check. She chose to read "The Places You Will Go" by Dr. Seuss to help celebrate Read Across America week. Great job Ava!
