The Maries County R-II School District has an opening for a paraprofessional position for the 2024-2025 school year. Candidates must meet ONE of the following DESE requirements to be qualified as a paraprofessional: 36-college credit hours, Completed Missouri’s 20-hour online substitute training program, Missouri ParaPro Assessment passing score (before September 23, 2013), or Missouri Paraprofessional Assessment passing score (after September 23, 2013). Applicant must also obtain a Missouri substitute certificate. The position is a full time position with benefits. The Maries County R-2 School district is a 4-day school week. Fourth graders in Mrs. Gieck's class took a break from current standards and did a spiral review activity with math standards they've worked on so far this year. Task cards were placed around the room with word problems featuring costumed kiddos and their yummy treats. Students solved problems involving place value, rounding, comparison of numbers, addition, and subtraction with regrouping. This was a fun math activity that the kiddos enjoyed.

The Lady Tigers Volleyball team had a team bonding after practice today to get them ready for the championship tomorrow! A big thank you to The Maries County Bank for the donation towards our lunch!
