The Maries County R-II School District is seeking applicants for the position of Special Education Teacher. Applicant must have Special Education Cross/Categorical K-12 certification. Qualifications: Candidate will participate in the IEP process by attending IEP meetings, collaborating with IEP team members, communicating with students and parents, preparing IEP paperwork, and delivering instruction to enable students to make IEP goal progress. Candidate will maintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative procedures and will manage their own case load of students. Varsity girls basketball trails the Rolla Homeschool Royals 11-8 after one quarter of play.


Bus 11 had a mechanical issue and is running 30 minutes behind schedule. A new bus is now on the route. We apologize for the inconvenience.

The JV boys basketball team won tonight, 49-38 against Salem in the Bourbon tournament! Congratulations to the team and we wish them luck on Saturday!!





Senior Parents: REMINDER: A few senior parents are starting to organize a Project Graduation party for the 2022 seniors. The first meeting is at 7 pm on Thursday, Feb. 10 at the First Christian Church in Belle, to begin the planning and fundraising. (Please note the change in time) All senior parents are invited. Belle High School Girls Basketball host the Newburg Wolves. Tigers 32 - 46 Wolves. The Lady Tigers next home game will be Thursday, February 10th at 6:00 pm.





District Championship Brackets



Just a reminder that Maries R2 will be on snow routes tomorrow - Wednesday February 9 - in the morning only.

Tonight the Belle Lady Tigers Basketball Team recognized senior, Lauren Prigge. Lauren is the daughter of Mike and Bonnie Prigge. Lauren has been a part of the Varsity basketball team all four years of her high school year.
Lauren also played varsity volleyball all four years and participated in the Maries R-2 Archery Club.
Outside of athletics, Lauren is an active member of FFA, FCLA, Student Council, and a member of National Honor Society.
On top of being an athlete, Lauren has maintained a 4.0 GPA all four years of high school. She currently has a weighted GPA of 4.198.
After graduation Lauren plans to attend Missouri State University in Springfield to earn a Bachelor’s of Finance. With her degree she plans to start a career in financial management.


Maries R2 will be in session on Tuesday, February 8. We will be on Snow Routes for the morning routes on Tuesday and Wednesday. Regular routes will be used for the afternoon routes.

Maries R-2 will not be in session on Friday, February 4 due to road conditions. It will be another AMI day for students.

ALL evening activities and athletics for tonight are CANCELLED. Stay safe and warm at home!

GVC Speech Meet scheduled for Saturday at Steelville has been cancelled due to weather conditions. No make up date has been set yet at this time.
